PLOT
Couchers is about three friends who perpetually couch surf with willing strangers.
SYNOPSIS
Travis, Nick, and (Travis’s Uncle) Armen use an online hospitality network, couchers.org, to find and stay with willing strangers offering up their couches. By doing so, Travis and Nick eliminate their monthly requirement to pay rent, and Armen, a famous sex therapist, can jump in on the adventures. Also caught in the mix is Shelby, their mutual friend and Travis’s crush. Together, the Couchers stay with a new host every week and always find themselves entangled in new, unexpected situations.
THE CHARACTERS
TRAVIS CUNDELL lost his job and apartment in the same day, so he became a Coucher to avoid paying rent. Although often in way over his head, Travis’s obliviousness is usually his biggest asset.
NICK WALSH is a rolling stone who has tried his hand at many careers, and lost interest in all of them. His carefree attitude often dictates the Couchers’ objectives.
ARMEN CUNDELL is Travis’s uncle, and a well-known sex therapist. With his show Intercourse Discourse on hiatus, he has joined the Couchers in their adventures.
SHELBY LEWIS is a freelance journalist who has known Travis for many years. She takes her pursuits seriously, but often finds herself roped into the Couchers’ adventures.
